National Head Start Association Names New St. Paul Head Start Agency, Inc. as One of 13 Programs of Excellence in U.S.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The National Head Start Association has named New St. Paul Head Start Agency, Inc. a “Head Start Program of Excellence,” an honor only given to 13 Head Start programs in the entire nation. NHSA’s Program of Excellence is earned by programs that consistently demonstrate excellence in management, service performance, and robust outcomes for children from birth to five years old, pregnant women, families, and their communities.
New St. Paul Head Start earned this recognition due to their exemplary work to provide safe and healthy environments for children and teachers throughout the pandemic. New St. Paul Head Start Executive Director Cheryl McFall was an early adopter of Innovative Healthcare Solutions’ products that purify, sanitize, and disinfect.
“We’re excited about the fact that we were able to get this technology in our programs. That really helps with the quality of the care that we provide for the children,” stated McFall.
With IHS’s help, the program installed the Zono Sanitizing* and Disinfecting+ Cabinet, and a state-of-the-art air purification station, the Halo HEPA Air Purification system, in their centers to prevent the spread of contamination and contagion of diseases.

New St. Paul Head Start noted multiple outcomes from using these products in their facility, such as improved teacher retention, more focus on teaching, and more opportunities for children to learn.
These measures also earned New St. Paul Head Start the “Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration COVID-19 Workplace Safety Ambassador Program Award,” and New St. Paul Head Start served as a model during the pandemic.
